8 Fun and Festive Holiday Cocktail Recipes for Your Holiday Party
Your turn to host both sides of the family this year for the holidays? With the fun and festive cocktail recipes below, you’ll be sure to be the hostess with the mostess! Shake up these eight colorful cocktails from Bucks County restaurant to celebrate the holidays all year long.
1) NOT NOGGEN
From the Cock n’ Bull Restaurant in Peddler’s Village
4 oz of your favorite Eggnog
1 1/2 oz of maple whiskey
Build over ice. Garnish with a green or red candy cane. Serve in a snifter glass.
2) SANTA’S CHOCOLATE SNOW MARTINI
From the Cock n’ Bull Restaurant in Peddler’s Village
2 ½ oz of half and half
1 ½ oz of rum chata
1 oz of maple whiskey
Build ingredients over ice in a shaker. Drizzle chocolate sauce to the inside of a martini glass. Shake, strain into a martini glass. Note: pre-chill martini glass so chocolate sauce can cling to glass. Garnish with shaved white chocolate.
3) RED SLIPPERS
From the Cock n’ Bull Restaurant in Peddler’s Village
1 ½ oz of Tequila
1 ½ oz of peach schnapps
3 oz of cranberry juice
Build over ice glass of your choice. Splash of grenadine to sink to bottom. Garnish with fresh cranberries with a slice of pear.
4) THE GRINCH
From the Cock n’ Bull Restaurant in Peddler’s Village
1 ½ oz of Melon liquor
1 ½ oz of pineapple vodka
1 oz of Sprite or 7up
Build over ice in a shaker. Shake, strain into a martini glass. Garnish fresh pineapple and green sour stick.
5) GOLDEN EGG NOG
From the Logan Inn, the oldest continuously running inn in America, New Hope
12 Eggs
2 Cups super fine sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
4 tsp Vanilla extract
3 cups heavy cream
2 cups El Dorado 3-year aged white rum
Separate the eggs and beat the yolks until stiff, and the whites with 1 cup of the sugar until thick and foamy. Fold the yolks back into the egg whites and combine with the rest of your ingredients. Refrigerate overnight to let the flavors marry, serve with a garnish of fresh ground cinnamon.
6) SAVORY CHOCOLATE DELIGHT
From the Logan Inn, the oldest continuously running inn in America, New Hope
1 oz Bourbon
¾ oz chocolate liqueur
¼ oz cherry liqueur
1 Egg white
1 Piece dark chocolate, cranberry, walnut bark
Combine all ingredients. Save the bark in a mixing tin and shake vigorously without ice. Add ice and shake again to chill. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with the chocolate bark.
7) T’s Brandy Alexander
From Hops/Scotch in Doylestown
2oz brandy of choice
1oz chestnut milk
½ demerera simple syrup
Cardamon bitters
Nutmeg garnish
Add Brandy, chestnut milk and demerera and biters into shaker, add ice and shake until chilled. strain into rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with grated nutmeg.
8) Bare Legs in Winter
From Hops/Scotch in Doylestown
2oz Rum
1oz pear ginger shrub
1oz demerera simple syrup
Add all ingredients to shaker, top with ice and shake until chilled. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with torched pear and 1 star anise
