Welcome the start of October this weekend and go see the detailed paintings at the Bucks County Plein Air Festival. Make sure to check out the antiques at the Art & Antiques Weekend in Lambertville and New Hope. Go and get spooked at Horrorfest or Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4

Bucks County Plein Air Festival

The 4th annual Bucks County Plein Air Festival is here! See 30 artists from across the country compete in a juried painting competition for $15,000 in prizes. Artists will paint throughout the week in various Bucks County towns before a public art festival on Sunday at Bucks County Community College's Newtown Campus.

When: October 1- 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Bucks County Community College
Cost: Free to attend

Sinatra Tribute- Dinner & A Show

This weekend take date night to the Buck Hotel! Enjoy dinner and a tribute performance to the great Frank Sinatra. Tickets are available online.

When: October 4, 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Emmet Cohen Featuring Drummer Jimmy Cobb

An evening of jazz comes to Bucks County. Sit back & relax as jazz pianist and composer Emmet Cohen teams up with famous drummer Jimmy Cobb for a special performance. Tickets are available online.

Escape Rooms: “Witches in The Woods” Or “Murder in The Woods”

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

Cycle & Sip

Enjoy a scenic ride from Lambertville/New Hope to Washington Crossing Historic Park. Ride at a leisurely pace over flat terrain primarily along the canal towpath. After the ride enjoy a wine tasting at a family operated winery founded in 1933.

Pumpkinfest

Bring the kiddos for a day down on the farm that they’ll never forget! The Shady Brook Fall Fest is chock full of fun and adventure. Find the perfect pumpkin, explore the 5 acre corn maze, and so much more. For one low admission price, come for the day and stay into the evening at PumpkinFest After Dark.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres

Ready for some frightening fun? Visit Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres for their three spooky attractions: The House in the Hollow, Field of Fright and of course Sleepy Hollow Hayride. After the haunted happenings, gather with family and friends by the warm bonfire and enjoy live music.

When: Weekends October 4-27, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres
Cost: All Halloween attractions $33; Choose any two attractions $26; Individual attraction $16

Crime Of Thrones Murder Mystery Dinner

Do you love Game of Thrones? Test your investigative skills while enjoying dinner with your friends during this themed murder mystery. Arrive early so you can walk around Peddler’s Village and check out all the shops Lahaska has to offer!

When: Recurring weekly on Friday, Saturday until Nov 2, 7:30 p.m.

Autumn Exhibition

The leaves outside may not have changed colors yet, but award-winning artists including Frank Arcuri, Dot Bunn, Katharine Krieg, Janine Dunn Wade and many more, will feature their fall-inspired landscape and still-life paintings at this Autumn Exhibition.

Hellerick's Fall Festival

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

Annual Art & Antiques Weekend

Lambertville and New Hope hosts their Annual Art & Antiques Weekend, October 5th & 6th. Browse through well-curated galleries, meet the artists in their studios, view antiques shops and dealers and discover one-of-a-kind pieces.

Horrorfest

Shady Brook Farm has spent decades sowing fear, now reap the terror lying in its fields at HorrorFest. HorrorFest features four thrilling attractions: The Hayride of Horror, Barn of Horror, Alien 3-D Encounter, and Carnage. Can you handle the harvest?

Scarecrows in the Village

The Count's Halloween Spooktacular

Dress the kids in their costumes and join the Sesame Street gang for not-so-scary fun as the park becomes a Halloween haven. Don’t miss themed shows, rides, and the parade!

20th Annual Art of The Barn Tour

Enjoy a day in the country with amazing historic barns, talented local artists, and a chance to support the education programs of Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow! Private barns will be open to the public for tours. Each barn will feature local artists who have been inspired by the nature, history and landscapes of Bucks County.
